It's been a while since my last blog post. I have many excuses to explain away my lack of posts but most of them boil down to three things: my internet connection is bad because I'm borrowing my friends' wifi next door and the signal is weak, I've been using all my spare time to look for different apartment options, and I simply haven't felt inspired to write.
Well, I think a new leaf may be turning soon, and I'm not just talking about the ones on the trees. Hopefully I'm not jinxing anything, but I think I've found a great housing option that suites my needs and lifestyle, and because I won't be able to mooch off my friends' wifi anymore and have to set up my own internet, I should have fully functional wifi. A lower price tag will reduce some of my financial worries, too. Overall, a big reduction in stress and more satisfaction in my living space should result in more blogging gusto.
Believe it or not, I have been working on a massive post from my day at the Milwaukee Orchid Society Show a couple weeks ago. My problem is I like to do projects in one go, rather than breaking them up into manageable pieces. With my current wifi connection, that makes it a particularly laborious and frustrating way to blog. This also made me think of other people who might have slow or poor internet connections and what it must be like for them to try to load these long, picture-heavy posts, so I'm going to try to break it up into more manageable and readable pieces.
For now, since I'm hoping to move this week (and that is bound to be chaotic), I'll at least leave you with a small preview from the orchid show to wet your appetites. Below is a small view of one of the many fantastic displays from the show. Much more to come!
