Wednesday Vignette: Morning Garden Strolls

I was out in the garden early this morning to take some current wide shots for a post later this week. As the morning light started filtering through the trees to the east, highlighting plants in the Hell Garden, it looked downright heavenly. I had to share a couple scenes for Wednesday Vignette, hosted by Anna at Flutter&Hum.

I should make this a daily ritual, a morning walk through the garden with coffee or camera, at least before the rains start. I can't believe I haven't been doing this all summer! Next summer, the plants will be better established and I'll be able to enjoy the garden more and worry about watering less.
I'm so glad I started using the old pieces of cedar fencing as bed edging. Much of it is already pretty rotted, but it should last for a few years. I've only just started putting it in, but it looks great where I've already added it, like behind the California fuchsia on the left of this photo.
